Let me proudly introduce one of the most beautiful, experienced, talented and hard-working vocalists on the current Jazz Scene - Jo Harrop.
From the Early days, Jo Harrop was one to watch and was compared with some of the very best of the Jazz divas from the genre's golden age - Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Peggy Lee and many more.
A favourite with BBC radio and Jazz FM, Jo has also worked internationally as a backing vocalist with Neil Diamond, Enrique Iglesias and many others. She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, The Jazz Cafe, 606 Club, Ronnie Scotts.
I once enjoyed her dramatic side as she dynamically energised The Denmark Street Big Band at Jazz Cafe Posk with her amazing show about Anita O'Day but I am looking forward to hearing her on the quiet intimacy of our own Patchworks stage where every song will be sensitively delivered in her very own inimitable style.
Expect an evening of beautifully presented timeless jazz standards and some of Jo's own compositions from her latest album 'Weathering The Storm' all delivered with her own distinctive mix of delicacy and boldness.
Jo will be accompanied by Jamie McCredie on guitar, Jihad Darwish on double Bass and Adam Hill on drums.
We hope that you can join us
